✅ What We Loved
The toilet uses a RADAR key entry, which means the space is reserved for those who need it and not every pub visitor. The area is consistently clean, and the softer lighting makes it more comfortable for people who may struggle with harsh brightness. The toilet and fixtures are set at a good height for wheelchair use, which makes a real difference.

🛠️ What Was Done Well
The overall environment felt fresh and neutral, with no unpleasant smells. We also appreciated the use of a darker toilet seat against a white bowl, which improves visibility. That said, the mix of colours on the floor and walls might be confusing for some users with sight impairments.

🤔 What Could Be Better
Scott’s biggest challenge here is the placement of the toilet roll holder right next to the vertical grab rail. During transfers, he often has to shift his grip from top to bottom mid-move, which doesn’t always feel safe. Another issue is the emergency red cord. It hangs in the middle of the room and often ends up tied around the drop rail to avoid accidental pulls — but that makes it potentially unreachable in an emergency. The only baby changing facility is also in the same room, which is not ideal, however we appreciate there may not be another possible location for this on the ground floor.

💬 Final Thoughts:
This facility is always well maintained, I don’t think we’ve ever visited this venue and not seen a member of staff going in to give it a clean and a check. If we are ever without our RADAR key every member of staff always has one available and do their best to help us.
